Default Changing the ignition unit

I have a CRRC 26i that I have replaced the original ignition with an RCexl. The ignition is getting power, as evidenced by the electronic tach lighting up when the ignition is switched on, but no spark. This replacement requires that I install the sensor into the mounting bracket. Is there a "right side up" for the sensor? If so I may have installed it "wrong side up". It is a bear of a task to try to remove the wedge block that now holds the sensor in place so I thought I would ask the question before trying to undo it.

Thanks for any help.

yes the polarity of the magnet depends on the side of the sensor , turn it over and see if it fires, you can take an awl sharp one and take the wedge out and turn it around

Ken, I did as you suggested, I didn't destroy anything, and the engine runs better than ever.

Thank you for your helpful advice.

I guess you learned to spark test it before you install the sensor in to the sensor bracket next time?

Experience is what you get right AFTER you need it!

Happy Thanksgiving!
