Default could you help ID this engine?????

HI there,
I just bought this engine at an auction and was wondering if anyone could help ID it. The only stamp I found on the engine itself is "made in Canada". Someone told me it was a 42 but Im not sure. Has a spring starter, Bennett muffler, walbro or tatone carb, repco flywheel. It is new but a little dirty... I pulled it off of a big unfinished plane that it had sat on for a number of years.

I'm no expert, but it looks like an old Quadra to me.

After doing some hunting online it seems that this might be a quadra 45. Could anyone confirm? I scratched the serial sticker taking it off the plane but it seems to be 245162 if that helps. There were slight differences in a 40 and a picture of a 45 seemed right. . . .
Thank you all so much. This thing is way too big for me- however I look forward to getting a smaller plane to start with. I have had a couple planes and a few engines but never flew... I just like them and pick them up if I think I can make a few bucks...

This engine is for sale if there is any interest or if you have any advice. It is brand new as far as I know and all seems right.

That wire leading under the flywheel would tell you it has points - which to my knowledge means it's a Q35.

pretty sure that you are right about there not being a 45.... and I forget what I was looking at but I found one which looked exact- must have been a 40 or 42. The 35 had little differences in the casting, however there very well could have been changes. I will look again tonight, unless someone knows for sure. Thanks.

Looks like a quadra to me. I have quadras and US engines. Both look virtually identical. The only real difference is bolt patterns.
