Default Moki Mark G 140 RC gas engine

I know in other post I said I would give a report on this engine....sorry it's been so long.

The original plane I was going to put it on was just to small and I was affraid that it would rip the wing right off if I wasn't careful on the throttle.

I just ordered a Sig Rascal 110 which I think is going to be a prefect home for it.

I'll try to post a actually video of it running later.

So far I've tried a APC 16x8 and a 18x6w.
APC 16x8 9200rpm using a Bisson side mount muffler 8800 rpm with a Bisson inverted muffler.
APC 18x6w 8000rpm using a Bisson side mount muffler 7500 rpm with a Bisson inverted muffler.
I was using a Bisson side mounted muffler part number 1122. I also have a 1124 that I will be trying out.

In a Rascal, you would have a nice glider towing plane!
Give the MOKI some decent running in time though. Make haste slowly.

I agree, I plan on running 20:1 and break in using the APC 16x8 for several hours. The cylinder is steel with chrome I believe.
I was shock that the 23cc would these props with ease. Looking forward to getting it on the Rascal and flying.

I sent an email to Moki asking about the construction of there gas engine line. Here is the response.

The gasoline engines piston and sleeve the same, but is little different, in the wrist pin diameter.
The sleeve steel and internal hard chrome, and high silicium aluminium piston in the both engine.
Not parallel to the sleeve, a little conical.
We use the hard aluminium conrod with steel needle bearing both place.
We use the best bearing in the Moki engine from Japan NTN, Koyo, and Thorington.

That is why it takes a long time to run in.
The assembly fits are excellent, but slightly tighter than the competition.
Also be sure to use high quality oil.  (Motul800, Stihl HPultra, Redline). The engine deserves it.

My Moki 1.35 engine has more crankcase compression with the plug out....than most china built engines have for total compression with plug in. The quality is the best. Capt,n

It does come with a CDI, but it is not Rcexl ignition. I believe it is a SV Hobby ignition. Pe sales these engine, that would be a good question for him.

Well the day has finally come, the Rascal 110 has flown.
The first ten flights I have to say I was disappointed in the power of the engine, although this is a big plane and at 14.5 pounds.
I had a APC 16x8 turning 8800rpm's running 20:1 gas mix.
So after the eleventh flight I decided to try the APC 18x6w. Holly crap. What happen to the engine did someone feed it some Popeye spinash? Engine is turning the prop at 8k rich. This must be it power band because the plane fly"s faster, climbs better and just sounds better.
