I've got a Brison 3.2 and I'm using Bambula props. With the 20 X 10 prop, I get around 7100 rpm. I wanted to try a lower pitch so it would be more stable in hover. I tried a 22 X 8 and I'm getting only 6600 rpm. I haven't had more than two flights with it yet, but it seems to be fine. Should I run this prop on this engine? Is 6600 within the range this engine runs well?
I realize that because of the way Bambula props are designed, they usually get less rpms than other props of same size. Here's the quote from their site:
*Do not expect these props to be "RPM Kings". Bambula Power props do what props are supposed to: MOVE AIR! (or through it; depends on your point of view) because of this your engine will experience a heavier load and will not turn as many RPMs as it did with other props. Bambula Power Props provide maximum PULL POWER.

On the brison and fpe engines around here we tend to see 7200 to 7500 with a 22x8 to 22x10 bolly prop.
I havent run a bambula prop but I would think you shoud see at least 6800 to 7000 rpm on a broke in 3.2.
What oil mixture are you running? How much fuel do you have through the engine? All of these things matter alot more on a gas engine than on a glow motor. The Brison will make alot more power after a couple gallons of gas.
Good luck with it and enjoy it as it is a great engine

Derf, I've got about 6 gallons thru it and I'm running 100:1 Amsoil at 80:1 (as recommended by Amsoil for racing or harsh environment).
Thanks.
