New Mintor
#26
I have been in very recent contact with TDA and the situation there is that they are currently out of engines and parts, and are awaiting word from their supplier.

karolh, you are not trying hard enough. True, Mintor is not listed in the "Engines" category but if you type in "Mintor" in their
search box (top right of page) you will find all the engines and accessories that they have.

I hope mine keeps running it's one sweet engine.I have it on my well worn Ultra Stick 120 lite, and it hauls it around really well.It is really smooth and is very quiet compared to the G-38 it replaced.I wish my DLE 20 ran as well.I haven't even touched the needles yet.
Later Jim.

I have just got off the other rc site, topdawg are no longer mintor dealers and no longer will do any warranty on mintor engines. so you guys in the USA will have to send your engines back to Italy.
I think we will soon be in the same boat here in OZ. Our dealer here is still waiting on parts ordered well over 30 days ago. He would love to do the warranty work but NO PARTS!

Hi there Huff
How's your situation going ? Any closer to having your engine back running ? The news in the U.S.A. isn't looking promising , its alright saying bad luck but if the consumer laws say otherwise well !!!!!!!! Hopefully it wont get to that stage elsewhere . What I don't get is if mintor is still making and selling engines why wont they supply parts . I mean if I had a engine that's kuput even under warranty and it needed parts I would sooner buy them than have a dud sitting on the shelf . All they have to say is were no longer associated with the old mintor and therefore cant do the warranty work . I wouldn't be happy but its gotta be better than the mess there in now . Cheers the pope

Hi Pope,
Your right, it's just so lame how the new mintor is going about it. Better just to cut the old and get on with it.
Maybe the warranty laws that each country have would make this hard for the dealers. Our dealer is still waiting for parts that new mintor said they sent on the 27th of last month. Maybe they sent it via a drunk camel.
Have you run your engines yet.
Cheers huffy

Mine only had 5 litres of fuel through it when it lost compression , it started making the clinking sound a few tankfuls after that.
It is best to Run in, in the air anyway.
Good luck, cheers huffy

Well, having to send the engine back to Italy is sure fraught with risk as a lot of the stuff mailed there never makes it to its destination. Sometimes customs seizes it for some reason and other times it just disappears enroute.
