Default BME 44

I have a chance to pickup a very good condition BME 44 and wanted to hear from anyone with experience with them. I'm going to start a scratch build 8' WS Otter this fall on floats and feel this would be a great fit in the big cowl for this size aircraft. Is the BME 44 reliable? What Problems? Thanks

The side carb can fit a lot of planes better than a rear carb. Make sure the ignition system is complete and works. I am staying at Bluebonnet Ridge this weekend right around the corner from you.
