Default FPE 2.4 Muffler screws

Picked up an FPE 2.4, but the screws that hold the stock "box" muffler on the engine were missing. They go through the muffler and hold the side onto the block. The access holes are then covered with a plate and Phillips screws. Anyone know what size screws I need to get to replace?

Take the engine to the hardware store and try some screws in the holes. They were metric in the original engine.

Jet, that's a Mahle cylinder. They are 5mm. 10-32 will fit but don't use them. They are a little smaller and you'll strip the threads. Dan.
