Still trying to identify the engine I posted the link to. I added some info on that thread just now.

The orange color tells me it is a old Stihl trimmer engine. If you have a Stihl dealer in your area, and they have a older mechanic in the shop, I bet he would tell you most anything you want to know about it. The newer people have to use the parts numbers in the computer though.
