Default Kioritz engine

I have aquired a Kioritz engine from a model PB-9 blower. Code on the engine is DM-9. Would anyone know what size this is? Thank You, Terry

Several years ago I came across a cache (25) of Kioritz blower engines. They had left hand threads on on the crank and were the 23.6cc engine. I don't remember the numbers?

It's a 40cc. An old one as it has points. (Doesn't mean it's no good, just an older model.)

Another way to find the displacement of an engine is to just measure it. Then use this formula: (bore x bore) x stroke x .7854 = displacement.

Thanks for the info. I would like to convert it to electronic ignition. This is my first gas engine. I would like to put it in a super decathalon, may be a little big for it. My dad always said if a little bit is good a little more is better.

No. The ones we used for the twins was the 23.6cc Echo/Kioritz. One could make that twin out of 21's, 23.6's, or 23.6's with a 25cc crank for a "stroker motor". I built them every which way for myself and customers. I have one made with the 23.6cc engines on my Giant Stik, and one made with 23.6cc pistons/cylinders and a 25cc crank all done and test run, waiting for an appropriate airplane. Very cool little engines.
