Default Help with throttle servo.

what is the best? Having the servo were it is or moving it behind the engine. I have room to move it and it would not he hard. I see a lot of planes were the servo is right my the engine.

Paul.

Paul, here is a quote from the Futaba website. A lot of guys think they know more than the engineers that design the radios and put their RC equipment right next to the engine and ignition system. They may be getting away with it for the time being but it is not worth the risk. Dan.

Guidelines for setting up gasoline engine models. All ignition equipment, including an electronic kill switch, must be mounted at least 12", and preferably 14", away from all radio equipment, including throttle servos, etc. Ignition kill switch should always be on opposite side of fuselage from radio kill switch. All pushrods going to anything related to the engine must be non-conductive (just nonmetal clevises is not sufficient).
