Default Evolution 35cc GT2 Ignition

Does anybody have any info on this ignition system? My engine will run about 5 minutes, start to lose power and then die. Plug is good, fuel system has been replaced, and the cooling air has been sufficient for the past 3 years use. I have ordered a new battery for it since it has been described as voltage sensitive, but I have heard the ignition is not the best. I have talked to Adrian at C&H Ignitions, and he can sell me a replacement, but I want to see if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Not generally being one to start throwing parts at an issue, I would start with a fresh battery. Or at least hook up a voltmeter to allow you to monitor the voltage at about the time it quits. If you see a big drop off at that point, you know you've got it. Don't depend or trust a reading you're getting from a battery that doesn't have a load on it....

When the new battery arrives it will go in immediately, then off to the flying field. I've dead-sticked the plane so many times lately (H-9 150-size P-47) that another such landing is no big deal. If it dies with the new battery, C&H will be getting a check.
