Motor Mount That Fits a DLE 20RA Engine
Any recommendations for a motor mount that is suited for a DLE 20RA Engine. I tried a DU-BRO No. 688 but the beams are to short. The muffler hits the mounting bolts in the rear. Help!

wish the DLE 20RA manual wouldn't list the dubro mount as acceptable. I got the engine and mount from Tower last month. needless to say, it doesn't fit. I ended up getting some 1/2 " aluminum square stock from work and made spacers to fit between the engine lugs and the mount beams. I used 5 #8 cap screws per side to bolt it all together from the engine, to the spacer, to the beam. it works, but it was a pain.

My Vallyview 21cc took a mount 4" long engine mount, from firewall to end of mount............anything shorter might not work, gas engine with rear carbs and carb blocks due get a little long. My engine is just far enough off fire wall to allow the choke plate to operate.

Thanks for the info roscoerc. I used the mounts that came with my Horizon Super cub, that I didn't use on it, was a good fit and made of Aluminum. How do you like when you talk to a hobbico Tech. they tell you you must of mounted the mounts backwards. Get him a job at Hobby King! Thanks again for the info.
