I have read that some people have modified their DLE Engines, specifically the 35RA with 'Bowman Rings' and made sure the 'Reed Box' was flat? What exactly is meant by making sure the read box is 'Flat'? How do you do about this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I wouldn't do either mod without understanding why they might be necessary. Doing it because you read it was necessary by some on the internet, well, I don't understand the logic behind doing something like that when your engine is running fine.
Now, that said, if there was data showing my engine would pull a bigger prop when I was done, THEN the mods might be worth it.

I plan on running the engine first since I already have it mounted and go from there if it needs to be modified or not, I have other DLE Engines and all have ran great right out of the box without any modifications, kept reading reference to Bowman Rings and Reed Boxes, just curious what it was all about.
