Default Rcxel 2.0

Does a RCXEL 2.0 work on a 6.6V receiver pack or do I need a regulator? The "instructions" were not entirely clear.

Thanks

I googled the instructions. In the specs it clearly says 4.5 to 7.0V

You have old instructions. They've been rated for 4.8 to 8.4 volts for at least two years now and it is clearly marked on each ignition. Some seem to work best at the higher voltages.

Are you talking about the ignition module, or the optical ignition kill switch?

They've mentioned what's going on with the ign. module above. I think the switch will handle that as well, and then some....

My understanding is the higher the voltage, the higher the max operating RPM. I have one I got to use in gas rc race boats, but 17,000 to 19,000 RPM was beyond it's capabilities.

But, I think they use more power (higher amps) at the higher voltage, and may not offer any advantage at the higher voltage, unless that is all you have available (with lipos).
