Default JC 30 Evo Gas Engine

I purchased a JC 30 Evo gas engine from IBCINYOURC several months ago and I am
finally getting ready to install it into my Kankge DGA-12. I have been searching through
the gas forum to read anything on this engine but I find no mention of it anywhere.......
What is the good, bad and ugly on this thing, or is it like my Scottish friends would say,
have I bought a "Pig in a Poke"?

The JC30 was probably the best engine JC made but there was one batch he made that had soft washers to hold the wrist pin bearing.

They would come apart and destroy the top end of the engine, I would take off the cylinder and if it has them, take them out.

If it has them how do I distinguish them, I am a recent convert to the newer Chinese gas engines.

You have to remove the four bolts holding the cylinder on and remove it. Look at the underside of the piston and see if the are on the wrist pin.

No more to the story, just some of the goofy things that JC did.

OK Milton took the jug off of the piston and looked under at the wrist pin, there are not any washers,
only the con-rod needle bearing, and the wrist pin keepers. I guess I am ok then with this engine.
Although it looks like the wrist pin bearing can move back and forth at will, seems to be about a 3/16"
gap each side of the top of the con-rod to inner piston wall on either side. Is this normal, or is that what
the washers were there to do keep the con-rod bearing centered?

Many thanks for the reply....

Perhaps Milton can answer that question for you as I bought the engine
about a year ago when IBCINYOURC was selling them.

JC is a engine I was dealing in a few years back but turned out to be a bad investment.
