Default Where are you buying your cranksaft from? G38

Why are these so hard to find? Does anyone have any insight as to where I can but a pair of Zenoah G38 crankshafts? I have two that have been sitting for years so its time to repair them but I never thought I would have such a hard time finding parts.

Thank you!!

If they are out of alignment or twisted from a prop strike, there's a guy on this forum that can straighten them for you.

If the big end bearing is gone, it is usually better to get a new crank.

If you are getting one re-aligned, he will need the flywheel/hub too as they are sometimes the part that is bent?

If Horizon list them as on order and you need a new crank you need to go ahead and order it. They are always on order for they never order enough to have any for stock after the back orders are filled.

I saw that, their prices are generally higher than other sites when buying other zenoah parts I have found.

I have been getting my G62 parts from
Dave's discount motors . I don't see the G38 shafts listed on his site but you can call them to see if they can get them .

I sent three G-38 crankshafts to Al at BH Hanson products to be repaired. They were bent and two slightly twisted. New cranksafts cost $90+. Al charges $15 to $20 each to fix. If he can fix all of them, I'll have one extra.
