Default Dle35 ra finish

Just received a new DLE35 RA from tower hobbies-It appears that has been painted! The finish on this engine appears to been painted with a rattle can-almost that fake chrome silver look-.I hope it runs better than it looks!

For some reason, DLE has decided to start using that finish. Maybe someone knows why.

It hides the pitting and casting flaws better.

Thats a little rough .... The engines I've bought in the last several years have had quite good castings. Ever since they went to pressure die castings about 5 or 6 years back, the pitting and void problems present in the early engines went away.

That was a joke, the paint is most likely a corrosion inhibitor, I would think. DLE has come along way, They are good dependable engine for the price, they've just about got.

Don't worry on how it looks, most of it will be hidden anyway. They are fantastic engines. I have been using them for years.
