Default Help identifying this motor

Just got the motor on a plane I bought. Looks to be at least 35to 40cc. Does anyone have any idea what brand it is.
Thanks

I can't tell you the exact engine but it looks like one of the early Chinese engines that had purpose made cases and off the shelf piston ported cylinders. The ones that were sold before they started making the common place reed valve engines.

Easy enough to get a rough measurement of the bore and stroke and that will tell you the size. Nothing other than a ruler and a stick required for a (close enough) measurement.

That piston diameter puts the engine right in that 40 - 45 ish cc range. 30cc range right around 1.5" or so, 50 cc range right around 1.75. Of course these are very rough approximations. Really need to know the stroke to tell engine size for sure. You can approximate the stroke by putting the cylinder back in place then put a stick in the plug opening. Let the stick slide up and down with the piston movement and measure the difference between the top and bottom to determine the stroke.

Any of the RCexl or RCxp ignitions will work with the sensor on that engine. Try Valley View RC or RC Extreme Power for just two places that have what you need. CH also.

http://www.rcextremepower.net/rcxpignitions.html

https://www.valleyviewrc.com/engine-parts/ignitions

Select the ignition that fits the plug in that engine.
