I got my hands on a complete Byrodrive unit for the P-51 equipped with a Q-35. I know the later Byron P-51's used the Fuji 50 and I happen to have one. I have read about the problem with the blades flattening out. There are upgraded composite blades out there. My question is, What is involved in converting my g-35 setup to the Fuji 50. Is it simply a backplate change or is there more involved. Should I just go with a Q-42 and forget the 50 ? I know that direct drive is the most efficient , but I have always admired that working scale four blade prop.
Thanks for your help

It turns out that the Byrodrive coupling for the Quadra 35 will not fit a Fuji BT 50. The threaded shaft on the Fuji is smaller. However, the coupling itself is relatively simple to turn on a lathe so I may go that route
