Default Engine mounting tab repairs

Has anyone been able to repair the tabs on a gas engine after they have broken off from a crash? I have 2 good running motors that have had the tabs sheared off from a crash. I hate to see them sitting gathering dust. Any ideas? I havent gone to a machine shop yet, wasnt sure aluminum can be repaired like that.

Well for what it's worth... the machine shop guy said you can't weld this metal... but he will make a bracket that will use the crank case bolts, use longer bolts for he crankcase ..

Sounds like a good plan.
