There were two versions of the 30. The first was only made for a short time and it had the carb off to the side of the rear housing. That was about 2010 or so and they were only produced a short time. All engines since then are pretty much the same with rear carbs though more recently produced engines have a shiny silver coating on the case and cylinder where older engines are bare castings. Early engines had a Chinese clone of a Walbro carb and later engines have real Walbro carbs. One of my favorite engines and I own (4) of them. Almost as powerful as the 35 but the 30 runs smoother.
