I think you would be dissapointed in the performance with the US 41 motor. My friend has one with a brison 3.2 and it flys very well, but the brison is lighter and more powerful. The midwest cap is no different than any other cap, can have a sensative elevator if too tail heavy, and you will know it. All around a very good plane if you can keep it light, ie around 15-16lbs at most with a gas engine.

Don't do it! Caps are my favorite, and you just need to keep the throws on the elevator down. Put a DA or ZDZ or BME, ect. If cost is an issue then get a Moki 2.10. The Moki will let you do it all with this plane. If you have the engine already, I would put it in a warbird or Super Decathalon... Something where 3D is not an issue.

the us 41 will be a good engine for the cap as long as you do not expect 3D out of it you can always go up on the throws to get more response out of it .My MW cap has 65degree throws on elevater and al i can get out of the ruder and ailarons ,I run 70% expo and it is a real nice 3d plan and no bad habits.

Mine is set up the same as Kens with a Quadra 42 on batt. ign. Lightens it up enough to hover it very well. I just have to learn how to stay in it. Even then I had to put a hunk of lead in the back to get it to flatspin.
