Default Brison 2.4....what prop ?

well, I bought a Pitts with a Brison 2.4 on it, and was wondering what props you guys are using ? The motor is broken in. I have a couple of 20x8 Pro Zingers. Any experience with this combo ?
Would a 20x10 be too big for this motor ? Also had a Biela 20x10 in mind.
Let me know.

Thanks

I think you will find that the 20" diameter props will not give you the performance you will probably want. Try an 18-8 or 10 for a couple of flights. Try to tach at or slightly below 7,000 static rpm.

18x10 @ 7200 if you dont get that ........something could be off. Depending on altitude.
They run on the bench at Brison 80:1 Klotz oil to regular 87 octane gas and 18x10 prop usually
a zinger and get 7100 to 7200 all day long.

Ulf, I have had good luck with a MA 20 x 8 when used on a Texas Hurricane and a H9 Cap. thried the zingers and pro zingers and did not like them.

You can also try the Airwild NX 20x8 propeller. They are great props that pull hard.

18x8 on a 2.4 [:-] been there done that, 8400rpm, the engine was happy but the noise was a bit much.
20x10 will run at 6800-7100 rpm just about right.

thanks for the good tips. Will start with the Pro Zinger 20x8, since this is what I have. Maybe try the 20x10 Biela later.
