Im going to be trying my first gas engine but am a bit confused about elec ignition. Ive read that they work well with the larger engines but for a smaller one like the g26 does it really make starting easier or would a spring starter be just as good?

Makes starting easier and saves weight..There are no spring starters for the G26...They run the same either way.....

I use a sullivan high torque starter on my G26. It works great. I even use it on my G38's, mostly cause I'm to lazy to pull the engine and fix the spring.

Thanks!! Forgot about the weight issue!! Also didnt know there wasnt a spring starter availabe so I guess Im gonna go with the elec ignition then..Now I just have to find someone to put it in!!!
