Default G45 and B&B Muffler question

OK, so I have the Zenoah G45 and am replacing the stock muffler with a B&B muffler. The original muffler bolts have a square head and are way too long for the B&B. I would just cut the square bolts down to size, but they are not threaded the full length of the bolt. Does anyone have a remedy to this problem or know where I can get the correct length square bolt?

When I used my G45, I replaced the bolts and I had to grind the nuts so that they fit in the socket in the head.

The stock bolts can be cut off and be rethreaded, or you can get some 10-24 bolts and square nuts that will fit in the cylinder...Use lock washers and/or Loctite....

Thanks for the input. I think I'll just go ahead and rethread them and cut to the length I need.

I never thought about using square nuts!
Good information to have.
