Fuel Tank Question
I need some info on what type of gas fuel tubing will work best inside the fuel tank. I am currently using yellow Tyvec tubing and have found it will stiffen up over time. This prevents the clunk inside the tank from flopping freely. This problem makes itself known when I fly inverted during the latter portions of the flight (when the fuel level is low). The engine will miss and skip but runs fine when I roll it upright. I am running a RCS 1.4 with a 14oz fuel tank.
Thanks for any suggestions.

RE: Fuel Tank Question
Aerotrend easy flex is a good one, but that may not be your problem. You can also try at a lawn mower shop to see if they have any of the black tubing that is used for clunk line on chain saws, etc.
Does it do the same thing when the tank is full, give it a good test with a full tank. Some of these engines will sputter when flying inverted, even though at this time the engine is actually upright.

RE: Fuel Tank Question
Jemo,
Thanks for the reply. The engine runs fine whether the plane is upside down or right side up during the first 2/3 of the flight. I am pretty sure it is the tubing I have inside of the tank as it was a little stiff when I installed it and has gotten only stiffer over time.
I am going to give the Aerotrend tubing a try.

RE: Fuel Tank Question
OK, that's good, sounds like the tubing will do it.
Don't forget to get the Gasoline rated Aerotrend tubing (easy flex) They other stuff that's not compatible.
