There is one for sale in the adds. Are they any good? Any problems?

These were good engines. Sachs based cylinder design with a proprietary lower end. However, Precision Eagle is no more.

If the gent offering the engine will guarantee the condition I would consider purchasing it. You can always have someone like RC Ignition [Ralph Cunningham] check it out for you... It's worth the few bucks for shipping and a once over. Being this engine is at least five years old, it's been sitting around for a while...

Worst case scenario would be Bad diaphragms in the carb, or a bent crank..Either way, it's still one of the best 4.2 engines made, still none better.....
If it was a glow model the bearings might be rusty..RC..........
