So, one week left in January...anyone heard anything about whether the BME 55 will be shipping anytime soon?

Nobody told you? It's for January 2040!

Last rumor was sometime this summer or fall. I given up waiting for it and will be getting a Brison in the next 2 weeks since my Edge is almost done.

THIS summer or fall?!?!??!?!? That's what he told me last year! I hate to bug him, because I know he is busy working on the backorder of the 110 and such, but maybe it's time for (yet) another e-mail.

I know that he is very busy with the 110, and he is not currently doing much with the 55 at the present time..... he has his hands full with the 110, having problems with getting crankcases, went to a new machine shop for the 110 cases and things are going slowly.

The last post on here by someone that had spoken to Kieth about it was Dec 2004.

Seems like BME ought to keep their plans for future engines to themselves until they are very close to release. Otherwise, all they are doing is making the public think they are not on top of things.

There are soooo many great 50cc engines available now why would anyone wait years for this 55 extreme thingy to come out. If it's going in an arf u'll end up with a 1lbs of lead in the front anyway. Even if it's a kit, who wants all their radio gear in the motor box?

Who knows, maybe if they ever do come out, they will give the pre-order list people a substantial discount from the original $499.00 price, oh like $250.00, or ????????

Don't u guys do this already? I must have tens of thousands of dollars out there for product that will show up some time but, I'm not worried , it will get here. Hell, I can't even remember where I've sent all this money but, I trust the people that I have sent it to.

I like to "invest" in every company that I deal with. Hey , they need to know that I am SERIOUS about wanting to buy the product. How are they going to pay for the parts if they don't have my money in hand months or years before they assemble the product? After all, the guy building them needs to make a living- he's got expenses you know.

I don't expect to receive an automated email reply saying that I'm unavailable, out of town or even ill, and a voice mail message suggesting the same? What's that? I think it's better to just not answer , that way people will wonder if i'm still in business.

I MUST SAY THAT I DON'T THINK FOR A MOMENT THAT BME WOULD SUBSCRIBE TO THESE BUSINESS PRACTICES. Only a kook would suggest it.

Kris, unless u are seriously trying to hurt the man's small business pls. stop trying to promote it. U are an engine guru but, you're definitely not a marketing guy. Go with what u know.
