Im looking at buying a pitts. it was loaned to me first to check it out and test fly it. It appears to be a toni clark pitts and it loooks nice. G62 Zenoah, rcignition battery ignition, smoke, all the goodies. spent the whole day trying to start this beast. my arm is killing me! I checked everything called Rc Ignition got some pointers (not a newbie to gas) best i could get was a pop. I kept hearing a hiss while turning the prop but figured it was the smoke system so i pinched off the pulse line to the smoke system. cleaned carb yadda yadda ...... got i back inside and was holding the engine by the fins to turn it over to check the timing and felt AIR ON MY HAND. well got the flashlight and looked in the back and on the firewall side at the top of the cylinder, was a crack!!!! no wonder it wouldnt run!![X(][X(]

i spent a couple of hours with a little irvine .53 trying to get it to start, nothing... till i noticed fuel running out the bottom of the crank, it had split the entire length of the engine!

Seems like he should give you a really good price then send the engine to Ralph!

Mark, you needed the exercise anyway. Now repeat with the left arm he he, then send it to Ralph. Now get back to work on that Mini 3D.
