hello all,
Can some one suggest a good all around engine for this plane the complete airframe
with batteries servos no engine will be around 21 lbs depending on final choice of batteries I bought this for my
13 year old son to learn 3D it has a quadra 100 on it but it vibrates really bad and its just way too loud
I need an engine in the proper size and would like very quiet
thanks

At 21lbs without the engine, you are looking at probably 26-28bs ready to fly- assuming you will be adding engine, ignition, battery, prop and spinner.
I would say that the 100cc class engine is the right engine for this plane- DA, BME, ZDZ, 3W are top of mind. A ZDZ 80 would work fine as well and is more moderately priced.
As far as keeping it quiet, - use an cannister muffler (KS, JMB, etc.) and, perhaps a 3 bladed prop. If you can get away with a 2 bladed prop that meets your noise level needs, that's even better (better performance, lower cost)- the MSC props seem to work well for this- they are beefy, turn up a bit slower and still give good performance.

"DM" gave you good advice, not much to add to what he said. Any good quality 100 cc engine would be a good choice for this airplane. I have one ready to go as soon as I finish some mods to the engine box to accept a different engine that weighs in at 22 Lb minus engine, battery, and wing servos. I am putting a 3W106 in it which should be more than enough power for it. The new 3W106 is said to put out almost as much power as their 3W120.
