Default g-62 question?

Can I run a 24x8 prop on a G-62 without overloading it. Also what prop has the loudest Bark?
Its just something about that sound that gets to me I LIKE IT!!!!!

A 24x8 will work ok...The 22x10 is usually the ideal prop, but it also depends on the weight/type of plane...........

If oyu are looking to keep the engine speed in the low to mid 6000 then yes, this is the right propeller.

A buddy of mine ran a G-62, B&B muffler, and a Zinger 22 x 6-10 square tipped prop. One bad ***** sounding motor. I loved the "bark" of that prop. Sure do miss it.[&o][&o]

I agree with nogyro. I fly a giant Stinger with a (stock) G-62 and a 22 x 6-10 square tipped Zinger wood prop. Nice "hole punch" thrust, and a healthy "bark with the G-62 at full "song"! Nice combination!

I thank you guys for the input. I am going to try the 22x6-10. The barking prop will go good with the smoke on my Laser....

Just use a prop with no more pitch than 8"... that way the prop will speed up when in the air, and you will get some ripping.... The loudest prop I have used is a 26x6 MenzS on my GT-80.... It was really houling.... The same prop I use on my G-62, but no ripping with that engine.
