Help - have a new BME 50 and having trouble. Here's what I have:
BME 50 w/ CH ignition - 1400 mah battery (battery tests fine)
22-8 Zinger Pro
20oz tank w/ 3 tube setup ( carb/vent/fill)
32:1 gas w/ lawn boy oil
no issues w/ RF noise or chatter
run#1 about 5 min - started and ran fine
run#2 ran fine - flew 5 min and engine started to stumble when accelerating - then went to where throttle had no effect - only just above idle
run#3 started but would not accelerate at all - idled fine but would not accelerat much above idle regardless of throttle
run#4 reset needles to factory starting place (1 1/4 idle and 1 1/2 high) started and flew entire 10min ok
run#5 started and ran fine - flew 4min and then acted like run#2
run#6 started and ran like run#3
replaced ignition switch
run#7 just like run#2
I am at a total loss. I am on my way down to FL for the JR Challenge and can't get this thing going. I need any help before I turn around tonight and head home.
Thanks!

The ignition is mounted on the firewall just behind the engine. I also just removed the needles and found no debris in the carb. There was also a filter in line without any debris.

Of course could be a lot of things...something that may be easy to check is the carb plate gasket for leaks and for the crankcase pressure pulse port alignment .

I'd advise calling CH and describing the running problem to them. Although CH has a fine product, a defective component can cause intermittent operation, and act in the way you are describing. I've had ignitions from 3W, DA, CH, and Falkon all make an engine act in the same manner you are describing, and I seriously doubt it's a fuel/mixture related problem. If the engine is firing at all, it pretty much takes the ignition pickup trigger out of the "bad parts" list as well. The guys at CH are very helpful, and if the problem lies with the ignition box they are very conscientious about making it "right".
