I don't recall ever seeing any instructions but there probably are some.
I've used them several times so can most likely answer any questions
you may have.

well my question ws in the bench setting of the valveand its servo . In my mind i was going to set it like a supertigre low needle....
blow thru it till i got a teeny bit of air ........ and figure that was a good start since this is my first smoke system and from what ive read "less is more"

That would be a good place to start. Then just experiment by opening
a little bit more each time you fly. Remember that smoke oil is relatively thick
so you may have to pump more than you think. Typically the smoke will increase
as you open the valve further and then reach a point where it will start to
decrease and you will start finding unburned smoke oil on the bottom
of the plane. Unfortunately there is no set way to do this as there are so
many variables so you just play with it. The good news is that you're flying
and hopefully having fun while "working" on your smoke setup. One thing
I might suggest is to make sure you're using large tubing from the crankcase
tap to the pump. Shop around and find the stiffest tubing you can get or
else the tubing will flex with each pulse and reduce the efficiency of the pump
and the amount of oil it can push to the muffler. Good luck.
