Default 3W 75 Starting problems.

Has anyone out there had problems with the 3W engine "kicking " back when starting. It is quite violent when it does this and nearly breaks your fingers ! The engine does seem a little down on power, but it is still fairly new and is still a little on the rich side on the bottom end. We can't retard the ignition timing any more as the pickup is at the end of it's travel. Anyone have any ideas. We have thought about using a DA or Vlach ignition unit.

your clue is in your words, you start it on choke, its rich on the bottom end, lose the rich on the bottom end, put a jot more oil in the gas, flick till it fires on choke, give it one more, release choke, and go, its rich, to much charge in the firing chamber
