RE: "Tartan Engines"
I have one with the stock mag ignition and it is ok. I bought used and If I had to do over I would buy a da or 3w.
It is heavy for the power it puts out. Jim the rep for the engines is good to talk to and has fast service for the parts.
I ordered parts and had them in three days.
Hope this helps.

RE: "Tartan Engines"
I had a Tartan 77 on glo fuel a few years back and it ripped. Didn't compare to some of the new big gassers nowadays but it was good. If you put it on glo be sure to put a dual onboard glo system on it. Mine liked to flame out on the right hand cylinder sometimes. Eventho, it still flew well enough to stay airborne and make a safe landing. Wish to heck I hadn't sold it.
