I have a Quadra 42 and 52 that was purchased about 12 years ago. Neither carb has a choke on it. Does anyone know if an add on choke is available for the Walbro carbs on these engines. The instructions only say "The engine may require choking until it warms up." but make no mention of the availability of such a choke.

My finger works pretty good. I always felt a choke was more trouble than its worth.
When you are starting it cold, you will need to momentarily stick you finger (Thumb?) over the carb inlet for just a second (two or three times) to keep it running until it warms up then you fly it.
Enjoy,
Jim

GBR2,
B&B Specialties has a slide choke available.[link]http://bennettbuilt.com[/link]
I have one on my Quadra 42 and it works great. Much safer than using your finger.
