Default DA 100 question

I have a new DA 100 installed on a 35% Edge 540

Never had one of these engines before, I have a Mejzlik 27x10 prop.

Question is: the prop stud seems to be too short as it does not fully penetrate the prop hub. I can mount the prop because it's a 6 bolt hub but, as I say the centre stud (crankshaft) is not long enough to come through the prop hub and front mounting plate. Is this normal?

The ZDZ 's that I have, the centre stud penetrates the prop washer and is in fact threaded for a nut for added security. The DA set up doesn't seem very safe.

The Mejzlik is not a thick hub as far as props go so, I don't think that that is the issue.

Any comments please

Thanks

Mike

This sounds normal. The props just mount with the six screws. Then you have the shaft with the hole in it for your spinner screw.
For reference the center shaft on my DA 100 sticks out about 1-1/4" from the hub. I'm using a Menz 28x10 prop and the shaft sticks out enough to just go through the prop washer. I believe your Mejzlik prop has a thicker hub than my Menz.

You don't have a problem as this is how DA and 3W mount the prop. The stud is an alignment or centering stud only. The six bolts are used to provide compression to hold the prop in place.
