What is the best thing to use as a gasket between exhaust and engine on a large petrol engine?

I have used red high temp RTV silicone with no probems for years. Buy at local hardware/auto parts and follow instructions.

I use the stock gaskets that DA sends with the mufflers on my 150 and 100. Both are leak free
