Where do you buy these very big racing motors from? And those large props for them as well?

Thanks in advance

The engines are no longer available from Herbrandson, the military program they were made for is no more..They are a few surplus engines around, you might sometimes find one..We (racers) have mostly used up the few we had...The carbon props we use cost $10 per diameter inch..We use 23x27 props on the racers...
I have 2 new cranks and cases left and could make a new 280cc version for about $2500.....
One of the racers might have a used one, I will PM a message with a website you can access if you want to try to get one that way....

THanks very much for the feedback. I probabaly do not want to get one of those if the parts supply will peter out.

What are the other top motors, like an Aerrow?

THe reason I am asking, I fly only turbines now, and I would like to get one of these big racers set up just to fly out on the lakebeds, but I would like it to be as fast as one can be made.

While we are at it, what are the good composite kits that are available?

Thanks again for your help,
