I have recently purchased one of my old giant stingers w/G62 from a friend, This plane is 7yrs old with a lot of time on it! The engine runs fine but I forgot how much it hammers at low idle.I will fly it this season with the magneto but I would like to put a synchro spark on it. Why are the ign for the zenoahs only $124.95? do they use some of the parts already there? Is the ign from rcign comparable? I am a toolmaker so if I can save some money by making a few of the parts let me know.

Only $125........thats about average for their product....Yes I think they do use some of the existing coil setup for this particular engine check their website or e-mail them and ask.
I havent used one but by all accounts the RC IGN set up works just as well, and I beleive the installation is neater and housed behind the engine. Its also guarenteed for life I think ......he is also a Zenoah dealer, racer, and contributor extrordinaire to websites like RCU,and probably deserves more of our business than I suspect he gets......Im going to try his product next time I convert an engine......

I have a G62 with the RCIgn coversion...complete with new rear mount housing with the ignition system inside and throttle coupled spark advance. I was delighted when I got the engine, the quality is very high. Ralph is a fine craftsman.
You can't go wrong with either the CH or RCIgn conversions. Both Ralph and Terry spend time on these forums answering questions, both have excellent reputations, and both should be supported by us.
