Default Rascal 110 gas engine?

What are my choices for a 25cc gas engine that my future Rascal 110 will require? I'm not having much luck locating any. Thanks

I have a club member that has a Rascal 110 with a G26 and if flys the plane very well. I don't think you would be disappointed with the G26.

Theres a picture somewhere of a Rascal 110 with a G-26 hovering next to a big aerobatic plane right over the runway. Just dont look natural for a Rascal. But IS an amuzing picture.

Are you serious? I know the G-26 is powerful, but I didn't think hovering was possible with it.

My Rascal 110 was my favorite plane for the year that it lasted. Make sure you fasten the battery down good. My battery was wrapped in foam and just stuffed under the tank. It came out during some rolls and unplugged, just did wide circles losing 20' at each pass until it plowed into the ground, bummed. I had cycled the battery the night before and didnt tie the connectors together yet. One of those "I'll do it after this flight" comments. Going to repair it this winter. I used a saito 1.20 with the battery under the gas tank. Balanced perfect. Just a tad to the aft end. Would knife edge as long as I wanted, beautiful. The 1.20 was plenty of power for general aerobatics and fun flying. Even saw one with a saito 1.50 that would hover for a couple of seconds before falling off.

Got a G-26 in mine Does GREAT, just make sure you cut out enough cowl for proper cooling.

MVVS 26cc gasser is 13 oz lighter than the G26 and is an excellent performer, mine spins a Menz 18x8 at 8400 rpm with a pipe, with a Pitts style exhaust, it'l to 7600-7700 rpm.

If you guys wanna play pipes, a converted G26 weighs 2 1/2 lbs, turns a Mejzlik 18-6 10,000 rpm on the ground with a Mac's Products pipe at almost 7000 feet altitude in Williams, AZ......I HAVE BEEN THERE, many times...
the actual measured thrust at 9000 rpm is 17 1/2 lbs...If there's a better engine out there, by all means buy one....

Converted is taking off the heavy magneto ignition and replacing with CD electronic ignition...
A converted G26 will knife edge a Rascal 110 the length of the field....
I converted a Homelite 25 weedwacker last month, 18-6 Mejzlik 8400 rpm..More compression, wider ports, CD ignition, G23 WA125 carb....There's a post here somewhere...
