How long can you run on a charge with a 4.8 1200 mah battery before charging is needed? I saw on a manualo 6 to 10 mins. Is this right? Seems short to have to charge every 10 mins! I am looking at a 3.2 FPE engine brand new for $559. Is this a good price? I cant seem to find much on the price of these

Most ignitions draw between 400 and 900 mA at full throttle. A twin draws more current than a single. And at idle they draw less than at full throttle. So your 1200 mA pack should run for at least one hour and probably much more. I am generalizing. I do not own a CH ignition (my experience is with 3W ignition). Someone with a CH will hopefully add their experience.

I can fly for about an hour, 3-5 flights on an 800mah nicd pack, on a Brison 3.2 and a sachs 4.2. I have had several C&H ign systems, and they were all about the same.

The CH ignition for FPE draws less than 500ma. Keep track of battery useage until you have a few flights on the engine.
Then you will know how long the battery will last.

That sounds like a lota money for a 3.2. Brison 3.2 $499.00. I fly 3x 15min 0n 700ma on brison 3.2.
