Default YW Engine Repair

Well it looks like I may have jumped the gun a bit. I was upset about sending my YW-24 off to Korea for repair. However the OWNER of YW Engines sent an E-Mail to me in which he apologized for any problems I had with the engine. He sent another E-Mail when he shipped the engine back to me. Total time a little over three weeks.
I got upset over nothing as it turns out.
The personal concern shown by YW Engines was appreciated.

The engine runs like gangbusters.

Yes I will be buying another. I would like to try out the new light weight YW-24.

thanks
AL

Hey Ad9P
what's their price range, are they competitive?

check out their web site. ywengines.com

I have both the YW-24, and the YW-48.

The 24 is in a Rascal 110 and it hauls it around very well.
The Yw-48 is in a GP Patty Wagstaff and has unlimited vertical, plus very little vibration They do cost a few bucks more, but the quality is excellent.

I also have a 48 in a GP Patty & love it---do you mind telling what prop you're using?

I have a 20/8 on it now. After I get some time on the engine I will try a larger prop. Works great with the 20-8 how ever. The only problem I have is keeping the mufflers tight. Sure a nice engine.

Thanks Al, you're absolutely right, a very nice engine, I've been running a 21x8 (YW rec.)---as per your experience, think I'll try a 20x8---Thanks again---
Ed
P.S. I'm not having muffler mount problems---blue "Locktite" & a "Hyde Softmount", I guess!---
