Default P-tip props

I have heard that this prop help improve performance, Do you get more RPM? What is the benefit?
Is the cost worth it?

It is the best 3D prop IMO if thats what you are looking for. Typically loud. Very good for slow speed acro like harriers, torque rolls, etc. You probably wont pick up any rpm with them, probably lose a few, no biggy. I like it best for 3D and a bolly wood 28x10 on my DA for IMAC.
