Well I received my new sensor today from Brison and it WORKS !! My quest for spark has been realized. I'll try and run the engine sometime this weekend.

Default RE: C.H.Ignition problem solved!

Today I ran the engine and it ran well. I was only able to get 6900 rpms though. This was with a Menz 22/8 Standard prop. The engine is used and was told it had about 20 runs on it (not quite sure if I believe that). Anyway, the new sensor did the trick!

Default Has anyone had this problem??

I too had the sensor problem, but it was a cold solder joint. That meant is would crank beautifully and run great for a minute, then go dead. As soon as it got warm the solder joint crapped out. Bill "the detective" figured it out for me.
Today a year later, different problem!!
Has anyone had an ignition battery drained dead everytime they run the engine?? I've put new batteries in and have same result. I thought the switch might have a short but it checked out fine. Is it possible for the ignition box to go bad and drain the battery, yet still work the engine???
Thanks,
Jim
