Why would they do that? Aren't these engine right from Echo? Another question that I have is why would it use a WT style that is for 30-50cc when my BME 44 has an HDA62. The HDA style cover a broad cc range, from 30 -60cc if not mistaken. I am not knocking either BME or their engines, I love both. The 50 is stronger for sure, mostly from the larger transfer ports I believe.

Ralph..what was the HDA62 O.E.M. use.

Well witch is it the WT250 or the HDA 62? The whole truth to the matter is that i want to see if its the same carb as on a poulan 46cc chainsaw. My thinking was if i had a little bigger carb than stock i could get more power out of it. I have not installed it on anything yet but i want to make sure it will have plinty of pep. Thanks guys and tell me what you think.

Thanks

BME 50 = WT 250
BME 44 = HDA 62

Keith is no dummy, he puts the carb on his engines that work the best...A larger carb will not make it run any better..If it did he would put it on there...
The HDA62 came from a Zenoah Red Max G4K hedge trimmer...
WT 250 11.1mm bore
HDA 62 12.7 mm bore
the WT 76A I thought might be on there has a 13.49 mm bore, used on almost all 3.2 size engines..
A larger carb making more power is mostly wishful thinking...A G62 has a 15.08 mm carb on it...I put a SDC80, 19.05 carb on one...NO DIFFERENCE at all......
Go with what the manfacturer set it up with, he knows more about his engine than we do.
A G26 runs the same, within 100 rpm, with a 3/8 carb as it dies with a 1/2 inch carb..Been there.....[8D]

The carb on my poulan 46cc motor is WT 657 . What carb do you think i need? Do you think the one on it will do just as good as what the BME has on it. I email that guy Keith but did not get a reply. Let me know RCIGN 1

Thanks
