Default Compliments are due

The old saying goes- "Provide bad service to 1 customer and he/she will tell 10 other people. Provide great service to 1 customer and he/she might tell 1 person.

I would like to give Keith at BME a compliment on his good service.

We all know the legendary service of other manufacturers. I just wanted to relay my good experience.

Thanx-Keith

Ditto!
Keith took the time answer a question about an engine that wasn't even his. I too say thanks.

Service is one of the most important parts to any business, or at least to me. Well you still need a good product and BME has both.

While your post was to give kudos to BME, I would like to direct mine to Ralph at RC Ignitions. I just received my G26 conversion from him and it is terrific! Ralph was there to answer all my (sometimes dumb newbie) questions and guide me through the proper setup of the engine. I can, like many many others, highly recommend his business. Thank you Mr. Cunningham.

Wingman, you could not be more correct! Ralph was next on my list to compliment.

With his extensive background in engines and racing he HAS the knowledge and is WILLING to answer questions, even my odd ones.

I have a G26 conversion on the way. Couldn't resist, not after holding one in my hands and seeing it run.

Gosh, I hope it wasn't running WHILE you were holding it! That could hurt! Good to know there are companies like this out there though...thanks guys for letting the rest of us know what's in store when we get to this level in the hobby!

Thanx IFlySlowPlanes. That is what I intended with this thread. I wanted people to post there good experiences, that way we can make informed decisions on who to purchase from.

You are right about that last line could have been worded better.

Ralph, I thought for a second there you had finally gone nuts, running an engine in your hand like that... Truthfully tho, it's always great to see that the good people and companies out there are getting the Kudos where they are due. I'm sure they all hear enough of the bad that some of the good helps to balance things a little.

Now you've got the motor in, when are you going to fly that beast? I've been looking forward to seeing it instead of hearing about it for awhile now.

Thanx Ralph I can't wait, compliments to you again.

Pat is there something wrong with starting engines in you hand

When I was really young and bored. My friends and I used to start .049's in our hands and let them go straight up. Just wanted to see whose would go the highest. Still have all my fingers, came close with home made fireworks once.

When I was young in 1950 I ran my Ohlsson 23 glow in my hand all the time...I had to chamge the plastic tank for the aluminum tank to run glow fuel in it...Made a good handle..That old glow fuel sure smelled good

Ditto on the RC Ignition service. I sent Ralph a G62 for conversion and when I mounted it, I could not get it to run properly. It was all my fault, but before I discovered it was my fault Ralph was going to pay for shipping both ways to strighten it out. Can't beat that!

most fun with a cox is a 2'' dubro wheel instead of the prop, drop it on the ground and watch it go nuts!

oh yeah, got some hard to find info from Ralph a few years ago on the phone and Keith was a regular contributor with some good input when the conversions forum started up. nice when people are willing to help out and share ideas.

I like the cox engine and wheel idea. Ducking a spinning 049 as it twists away would make me yearn for my youth again. I don't think I'm quick enough for that now. But then again, I reflect back on my youth now anyway, so why not give it a shot?

Where's the 049 motors RTK?

Pat I still have most of them, some went pretty high before quiting. We did this over grass fields so no harm came to the little cox's.
Frisbees (sp?) worked pretty cool too.

RTK, where did you see one of Ralph's engines run? Come over to Tracy and we can fly RC Ignition G26's all day. I have three of them and two G62's. I'm going to put my newest one in the new Goldberg Pitts 12 which should arrive very soon. I've been trying to get Ralph to move to California and live in my garage but he's being stubborn with that request. Sheeeeeesh... I mean what does a guy have to do?

Ralph,

I flew at the Tracy field Wednesday last week. It's a great facility. I think I'm going to coerce you into taking a ride out there with me. You would feel right at home, it's behind an alfalfa and bean field I'll prolly get shot for that. You were referring to the 1/2A black widows, I hope.

I had an experience with RC Showcase and a ZDZ 40 recently. I had the B Sportsman model and it would not run well at all despite all attempts. I contacted RC Showcase and asked them if they would allow me to upgrade to a standard ZDZ 40RV for some extra cash and a trade in. This they did and provide a prompt service in the transaction.

Birddog-Thanx for sharing your good experiences with us all. I'm sure everybody wants to know who treats us well.

Pat- Where don't you fly and you are right, that's my kinda field. Wide open spaces and lots of emergency landing area. As for spiders they are better off in the non-living realm.

Okay, I've been putting this off for too long. I have a few companies that I would like to publicly thank.

FROMECO

Thanks Kurt.

When I placed my order with you, you went out of your way to take the time to explain how you could modify the system design I had put before you and improve on it while saving me money at the same time. You also provided a better way to provide power directly to some of the components I am going to use without having to run it all through a receiver or a power buss. The Fromeco products are of extremely high quality in both appearance and manufacture, and I'm just a little grateful. On top of all that, you took the time and made the efFort to draw a schematic for me to reference in case I ran into any difficulties.

After the order had been delivered, your willingness to answer the questions I had about a new type of system was unparalled. It's nice to know that once the sale is made, you still have someone there to help you succeed.

CERMARK

Janice and Steve,

You folks have gone well out of your way to get orders to me as quickly as can be done. You have come up with some things that your company doesn't even have in the catalog just to help out a customer that you have never met. I appreciate it more than you can suspect.

Cermarks products are of very high quality, and the wiring is more limber than anyone elses, helping to lengthen it's lifespan. Your connectors fit tighter than anyone elses, and the DSC switches are great. Thank you again.

KANGKE USA

Another company that's little talked about at the flying fields. John, you straightened out a minor problem like it had the importance of an impending war. I couldn't belive how quickly things happened once you became aware of it. Thank you.

BTW, the 5" Revolution Ultimate spinner that I later ordered from you is just great. Great quality and appearance, while being lighter than a few others of similar size. Some day I'm going to have to find out just how many different planes this company makes. I know it's a big number.

BISSON CUSTOM MUFFLERS

You guys saved me having to do a lot of work on an engine box by coming through with the exhaust spacers. Drilling and tapping them for smoke was a very nice touch.
Thanks again.

There are a lot more good people and companies out there, many of which I have noted before in other posts, but I don't want to neglect them in this one. I'll list a few names of some good people to do business with.

TOM & PATTY FAWCETT, WILD HARE
If you haven't heard of Wild Hare by now you've been sleeping too much

JERRY NELSON, NELSON HOBBIES
Jerry, you still have an incredible selection of giant scale hardware that always works extremely well. That doesn't even begin to note your other excellent products and paints.

GARY and HARVEY ALLISON, BRISON R/C ENGINES
You two build a pretty darn good engine, in any size. Easy to work with and they last forever. Plenty of power, too.

BRIAN at DESERT AIRCRAFT
(even tho I use Brison engines, Brian always comes through on other stuff)

Thanks to you all. Your help and devotion to your customers is both noticed, and most appreciated.

Thanx Pat that's the kinda list I like to read. The more I read, the easier it is to make my Christmas list.
But I am sure it will be that old lump of coal again.
