Lightest 30cc engine. People have used it in the Funtana 140S.

Is there a dealer in the states that sell the SM30? If not, do you have to order from Germany direct. Also how much are they?
Thanks

THe SM30 does look attractive, but no US support center. Does anyone speak german? If so please send them an e-mail regarding USA distribution please.

You have to buy direct.

The dollar is taking a beating right now against the Euro, 1.00 euro=$.75. Use a web translator to read the pages, a online length and weight conversion to convert measurements to inches and ounces and a online currency converter to do the price.

I would go with a hopped up, CH ignition, 29cc, 3.5hp, G-26 clone. Do a search here for a Canaday 29cc engine in Arf's and gas engines. $399.00.

Some of the parts to make your own 29cc are here:

The manufacturer speaks fluent English, just email ( [email protected]) him if you're interested.
Euro/dollar rate is pretty steep at the moment though...

I just got an E-mail back from Germany. The SM30 is 496 Euro's ($662 US dollar)for the engine, header and muffler (that includes shipping) It also weights 1400 grams, the complete set, engine, muffler, header, and igntion. Thats about 3 lbs.
They also said they will have a US distributor this Spring.

Hi,

Since the RCS 180 has the same power as the older 3W-24 (I tested them), I would think the newer 3W-28 would be the most powerful 30 cc engine. Hp increase is 0.5 over the 24.

I have had really good luck with the 3W-24 and the 3W-28 is the same engine, just bored out a little. I would go with that engine and Gerhard at Aircraft International
