Default mvvs identification

Looking to purchase a used mvvs 2.15 gas engine.
How can I identify whether this is the
latest version (larger crankshaft, etc.)
Can find no web resources to help me distinguish.
Thanks a bunch,
pete

All the 2.15s have a choke the ignition on the newer ones are squarish and not the film canister type. The 1.6 is the one with different carbs and the new version uses the carb for the 2.1
