I just got my first gas engine. The person I bought the Quadra 75 from said he was using Amsoil with high octane gas. He used a 40:1 mix.

- which Amsoil product is best for this engine?
- any local stores sale Amsoil (auto parts, sears, ...)?

I found the Amsoil web page, so I know I can order from there. Where do y'all buy it?

Hi,

Any good 2-stroke oil will work fine at 40:1. If you want to stick with Amsoil, Dominator would be the choice at 40:1. Visit your local motocycle shop and any of their high performance 2-stroke oils work great. Klotz, Belray, Mobile 1, Pennzoil . . . . . . . Just make sure that it is an oil for air cooled engines.

Jim, I use Saber 100:1 and a friend of mine used Dominator at 50:1
Both are good. Amsoil recommends 100:1 in our engines.
